Over the holiday period, I decided to explore what all the fuss was about ChatGPT.
A marketer had posted on Facebook asking if people thought that Google would use it in search results in the future. Everyone chuckled. But then I saw an article in a UK newspaper saying that Bing was planning on incorporating it. So it deserves a look.
I have used AI tools for some basic tasks for the last 18 months so I am no stranger to the idea. I wanted to see how this made the process more intuitive.
I also wanted to check out how much it has improved.
First of all, here are the benefits of using ChatGPT (or other artificial intelligence content generation tools)…
Saves time and effort for content creators
Improves efficiency and productivity
Produces high-quality content
Can assist with tasks that are routine or time-consuming
Can generate a high volume of content
Can generate content in multiple languages
Can generate content in a variety of styles and formats

But many are wondering if it is opening a Pandora’s Box…
It is important to consider the potential impact of any new technology on society and the way it is used. In the case of ChatGPT or any other artificial intelligence content generation tool, it is possible that it could be used to displace human content creators or decrease the demand for their work.
However, it could also potentially be used to augment human creativity and efficiency, allowing people to focus on higher level tasks and ideas while the AI handles more routine or time-consuming tasks. It is ultimately up to how society chooses to use and regulate the technology.
The content that this thing puts out is extremely good. Far, far better than what I was getting out of Shortly in 2021. Everything that I have generated has needed no re-writes (apart from a tweak or two).
The big advance here is the way in which content is requested. Rather than trying to frame requests in templates or suchlike, with ChatGPT, you simply chat to it.
Yes, a bit like a text message. You write, for example, “Please write an outline for an article about “What Is Glass Blowing And How Does It Work” and it comes back with the outline in seconds.
You then put in the chat “please expand on the introduction” and it does. Keep asking in the chat to expand on each of the outline topics and you end up with a stunning article just by chatting to the thing (and knowing bugger all about glass blowing)!
So, I just did that and, in around 15 minutes got this article written It is informative, easy to read, has good grammar and is 100% clean in Copyscape.
I have put other stuff into Copyscape too and I have yet to have a duplicate content hit.
Then I got creative! I had it create a useful php script for me that I can use both for myself and for others using Saaset to create a web app. That took fewer seconds than it took me to ask for it.
I also got it to create a WordPress plug-in. That I will have to test out but it was spooky seeing it write instructions and drop in code faster than anyone can type!
Oh…and to save a bit of time, I used it to write the words in blue above 🙂
If you want to see this in action and get the best tips on how to use it, grab hold of the course I mention below for just a few bucks. It shows how to use this AI tool together with a sales copy formula that helps you create sales copy that really converts and sells – with ChatGPT doing the heavy lifting.
